In view of the news of Andhra Pradesh fishermen stranded in the sea near Veraval in Gujarat, the Vice President spoke to the Chief Minister and Governor of Gujarat as well as with Shri Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, to resolve the issue. @CMOGuj @HMOIndia
Chief Minister of Gujarat informed VP that Gujarat government is willing to take them to the relief camps in Gujarat and provide all assistance or send them back to Srikakulam by sea route.
The CM of Gujarat informed that Government of AP agreed to ship them back to AP. CM also informed that Union Home Minister had spoken to him about doing the needful.
Vice President was also informed by senior officials of the Government of Andhra Pradesh of the discussions between the Chief Ministers of the two states.
The Vice President expressed satisfaction that both the Union Government and the two state governments have jointly evolved a feasible solution of transporting the #fishermen to #AndhraPradesh by ships.
