In November 1998, @TemesghenD became the founding member of the first-ever English-based news broadcast for Eri-TV and went on to be its chief anchor, producer & editor.

By the time he left #Eritrea in 2006, @TemesghenD had conducted interviews with various public figures including world leaders & other dignitaries such as the former U.N. Secretary-General, the late Kofi Annan.

During that time, @TemesghenD had also produced close to 100 short documentary films and news reports in English, all of which were broadcast on the nation’s state television channel. He also filed stories for the @CNN World Report representing #Eritrea.

In 2016, @TemesghenD reported & broadcasted the Geneva demo, one of the largest #Eritrean justice seekers demonstrations live on Facebook.

Four of the videos broadcasted during the demos got a total of more than a million views at the time.

The same year (2016), Temesghen along with Tesfaldet Meharenna, co-produced the masterful video of #Eritrean activists reading the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Tigrinya. In the video, Temesghen also read the 7th Declaration of Human Rights.

In April 2018, @TemesghenD took part in the International Journalism Festival in Italy attended by over 500 top media personalities. He spoke about the human rights abuses in #Eritrea and the lack of freedom of expression.

As an activist, @TemesghenD continues to conduct public speaking about human rights & free press in #Eritrea. Here he is at Nottingham Trent University speaking to more than 150 BA and MA students in news, magazine, and documentary filmmaking in February 2020.

Fun fact: @TemesghenD also met with @BorisJohnson just before he became the Prime Minister and he briefed him on the situation in #Eritrea and took these pictures

Although it's currently on hold, @TemesghenD also founded @erihopemedia which focused on current affairs and analysis.

Eritreans welcomed #ERIHOPE with excitement and now hope that it will be back soon.

@TemesghenD is also a poet. He has written about 70 poems, most of them in English and a few in Tigrigna.
