Happy to join in celebrating #NSF70 with my #NSFstories.

As an undergraduate @univpugetsound at a small liberal arts college, I was unsure what graduate school would be like. Thanks to the @NSF REU at the @UMNews, I was able to join @VPRCramer's lab for the summer and see what grad school life was like at a research university. #SeeNSF

This summer led to my first paper with my grad student mentor @mbsullivan .

I went to @UCBerkeley with my mind set to work with @mhg_group since he was an author of the program I used at Minnesota. When I got there Iearned about quantum computing and started working with Birgitta Whaley on theory problems.

Instead of writing my thesis, in a bold move of procrastination, I started building things in Dan Stamper-Kurn's lab as part of an NSF project yielding my one and only BEC paper. #NSFstories #SeeNSF

After a postdoc @MitQuanta, I landed a faculty job @GTSciences. My first NSF grant was a Center for Chemical Innovation grant with @sabrekais @A_Aspuru_Guzik Daniel Lidar and Peter Love. #NSFstories. We got so much done we wrote a book!

Since moving to @DukeEngineering , I have been delighted to lead the NSF STAQ project. We had a great summer school last year and we are gearing up for a virtual summer school in a few weeks. #NSFstories #SeeNSF #DukeQuantum

I have also been part of the NSF @EPiQCExpedition. This has been a wonderful collaboration with @margmartonosi @prof_chong @quantum_aram @PeterShor1 @schusterqed @nanonoodle #SeeNSF #NSFstories A recent highlight is this ISCA paper with @MartonosiGroup

There are more #NSFstories from a semester at the NSF funded @KITP_UCSB . I was there when it was still the ITP and my office mate was @bwecht. As you can see we have not aged a day and I borrowed Brian's glasses and never gave them back. #SeeNSF
