Today’s #Yiakl #SundaySpotlight goes out to Kebreab Yimesgen @KebreabY in acknowledgment of his compassionate human rights activism, mental health awareness, and helping create meaningful Eritrean community connections.

In the 1990s, Kebreab served as a student leader at the University of #Asmara Youth Fellowship & later served as the Chair. He graduated with a degree in Physics from UoA, came to the U.S in 2007 & received his MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2011.

Kebreab has a tremendous amount of compassion for his community & always makes himself available to those in need. His gentle demeanor doesn't go unnoticed and he is always supporting and advocating for his community, especially those most vulnerable.

Kebreab currently serves as a board chairman of ECC- Eritrean community connections a volunteer-based group that is dedicated to serving Eritrean refugees most in need and as an instructor at Joseph Leadership Academy.
