Here ya go. You're welcome. "You won't find the type of porn on Netflix that you'd see on Pornhub or Brazzers. But there are plenty of real sex scenes and nudity to enjoy."
FWIW, if Gapar Noe's erotica film Love (ft. actual, real sex scenes) isn't porn, I don't know what is. netflix.com/title/80057969
I obv don't object to depictions of sex — whether simulated or unsimulated — on film. In fact, I enjoy it. That said, there's a difference between depicting "sex" & shooting "scenes of abuse" on film. In my opinion, much of Noe's stuff falls into the latter category.
Ditto for a bunch of Bertolucci's stuff. Last Tango in Paris (abuse) compared to The Dreamers (sex).
Trying to remember the first positive, consensual, penetrative sexual encounter I ever saw depicted on television or in a movie. 🤔
Maybe Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It, or Soderbergh's Sex, Lies and Videotape?
It wasn't the first, but I know Threesome (1994) was an early depiction that made a real impact on me. I remember watching it, thinking: Now, that looks like fun.
I grew up evangelical Christian and didn't have penetrative sex for the first time until I was 22 years old. While it might sound naive, when I first saw Threesome, I didn't even know it was possible for more than two people to have sex at the same time.
As a nation, we'd have much healthier sexual health outcomes — and fewer STDs/STIs, unintended pregnancies, etc. — if we actually talked about sex as if it's most natural thing it the world. Because, of course, it is. #SexEd4All #SexEdSaves #SexualHealth
When we don't talk about sex, we don't talk about:
💥 Establishing eager, enthusiastic consent
💥 Building healthy sexual relationships
💥 Testing for sexually transmitted infections
💥 Attracting the kinds of sex, love & relationships we need
Excerpt: "Oftentimes that build up, the wanting, the anticipation, the fixating on small details & elements of something that you can't wait to one day grip and consume, but are afforded no certainty of having, is the sexiest part abt most things in life." greatist.com/happiness/sexy…
