Staring into the sun thinking about an ooc #geraskier au akin to some Romeo & Juliet shit. Geralt showing up to Jaskier's balcony after he meets him at a masquerade. Jaskier flirted w him but refused to tell Geralt his name, so Geralt had to do some digging to find out who he was
And there he is, beneath Jaskier's balcony, undeterred by their warring statuses. Jaskier is full of teasing flirtation, Geralt game for the chase as he professes he finds Jaskier bewitching. Jaskier promises to write a song about Geralt's bravery, or his foolishness.
Is his bravery a thing of love or lust? Jaskier asks flippantly, to which Geralt insists it's love. Jaskier says he's doubtful, how should he know Geralt loves him, they barely know each other. Geralt says name any task and he'll complete it for Jaskier in the name of love.
Jaskier names something hard, and Geralt's reward shall be a kiss. Geralt agrees and has till two nights hence to complete his task.
So imagine Jaskier's surprise when Geralt shows up the next night, awaiting his prize. Jaskier demands to know if Geralt had help, suspicious.
Geralt asks if he'll receive his prize or not. Jaskier says he's far too high up and he can't possibly sneak out. Geralt says that's not a problem and climbs up to the balcony with ease. Jaskier is surprised and can't even react fast enough as Geralt takes his kiss.
Jaskier flushing as Geralt asks what he has to do to receive more. They haggle over it, Jaskier whittling him down to 3 kisses, and assigns him a harder task. Jaskier can't get Geralt's smug look fading into the dark out of his mind.
He's back the next night again.
Jaskier is embarrassed at how eager he is; he's been waiting half the night. Geralt is victorious once more, scales the balcony again. Jaskier fusses over a bruise, but Geralt pays it no mind as he claims his prize forcefully, lips and tongue insistent.
Jaskier breaks away, chiding Geralt that he's trying to steal more than his 3 kisses, but he really just needs to catch his breath, collect himself. The haggling begins anew, Geralt asking to touch next, just a simple touch. He disappears after getting his new assignment.
It continues like that over and over, Geralt finally getting to touch Jaskier's back and his hips, earning more kisses, and then being able to leave a hickey just below Jaskier's collarbone. Their dalliances are growing dangerously bold when they're finally caught.
There's swords and the threat of violence, tension in the air, but Jaskier speaks on Geralt's behalf and announces his love. His father denies his pleas to accept Geralt and challenges Geralt to a duel to reclaim his family's honor.
Geralt has another idea, however.
He says he will kill the great monster in the hills, and if he completes the feat, he will claim Jaskier's hand in marriage. It's a bold move, and foolish; no one who sees it comes back alive.Jaskier begs Geralt not to go, but he's stubborn, and Jaskier's father is glad to accept
His nuisance will soon be dealt w when the monster kills Geralt. Jaskier mourns before Geralt has even left on his quest, can barely stand to watch him leave town alone, just him and his horse. Jaskier waits on the balcony but it's the first time Geralt doesn't return in a day.
His family tells him to give up, some scornful, some sympathetic, but Jaskier can't.
It's almost a week before Geralt comes riding into town near dusk. Jaskier is roused from his stupor on the balcony by the clamor and rushes to the courtyard. There Geralt sits astride his horse
Jaskier's heart stops when he lays eyes on him. He's covered in filth and blood, and as Jaskier's family approaches, Geralt claims Jaskier's hand in marriage before everyone as was promised. Jaskier's father demands proof, calls Geralt a scoundrel and a liar.
Geralt's lip curls as he uncovers the body of the beast, tumbling it off Roach's back for all to see. Without another word, he grabs Jaskier and pulls him up to sit in front of him and carries him off.
Jaskier is humbled by Geralt's strength and determination.
He no longer knows what to say, so he rambles as he draws Geralt a bath, breath drawing in as he sees Geralt naked for the first time. Covered in filth, yet still naked. Jaskier can't help but cringe back from him, unused to such a sight. Geralt scowls and climbs into the tub.
To make up for it, Jaskier prattles on, and after some hesitation he places his hands on Geralt. He gently cleans him, eventually kissing across his skin in apology, trying to make jokes.
He gasps as Geralt pulls him into the water, berating him for soaking his clothes.
Geralt claims one kiss, then another and another until Jaskier is breathless. He begins undressing his mouthy love, marking him with bruising bites. Jaskier stammers he's not about to be taken in dirty water, surely, and Geralt lifts him w ease and takes him to bed.
They're perfectly, incandescently happy, and Jaskier spends their lives composing one famous ballad after another about Geralt and their love. 💛
