Please open the report and tell me what strikes you first.

With respect to the very fine people on this group, there are NO FACULTY HERE. This is unacceptable. We are institutions of teaching and learning. We have to stop doing this. You have to stop doing this.

@MassGovernor this group needs to be reconvened with students and faculty at the table. Without that input, you don't have a plan; you have a plot. That lack of inclusion is unacceptable, and negates any recommendations made in this report.

Worth noting that the word "teaching" appears ONE TIME in this report.

"We are OPEN: Teaching, learning, student support services, essential research, and health services continue at all institutions."

NOTHING about the work of teaching during reopening.
@MassGovernor

Other notable omissions: the words "stress" and "trauma" are absent from the report, as if we are all physical bodies devoid of emotional needs.

Any recommendations that don't account for mental health and trauma impacts are sorely lacking.

@MassGovernor

The sad truth of this is that many college leaders see faculty as the enemy, rather than partners, as barriers to progress, rather than innovators. The dangers of this mindset have never been more apparent.
