Police have been arresting journalists AND attacking them with rubber bullets and pepper spray.
Police hit Linda Tirado, a photojournalist, in the left eye with a rubber bullet, and she has been permanently blinded.

Here's Linda's thread about her eye:
@KillerMartinis - if you know someone who witnessed her attack or who knows her EMTs, she'd appreciate contact
Three years of @realDonaldTrump's ‘enemy of the people’ rhetoric made these men think they had a right to attack journalists.
I want to believe that these police are a minority, as are those disrupting peaceful protests. I am PISSED OFF at an apparent code of silence.
I type "men" deliberately. I have seen no video of women LEOs attacking protesters - by pushing an elderly man to the ground (Utah) or kicking a young woman (NY) or removing a man's mask to pepper spray him for no reason.
It's not like we don't KNOW that bad actors in the police corps exist:

We've known for a LONG time. 2006 FBI assessment during the BUSH administration. Another report in April 2009 (which means it probably started under Bush)

AND we've done NOTHING to address this very real problem.
INSTEAD, we give police departments military-grade armaments leftover from the (undeclared) Iraq War.
And then we have Trump flooding the zone with 💩 like this >
In rational times, with a working Republican Party rather than one run by #RichMitch, today's rhetoric would trigger the 25th amendment.
"You have to dominate"
"put [protesters] in jail for 10 years."
