Delighted to participate in launch of TULIP (The Urban Learning Internship Program) Portal today. This is first of its kind internship program for fresh graduates in ULBs & Smart Cities. It has been jointly designed by @MoHUA_India & @HRDministry.

In tune with Hon’ble PM Modi’s vision for growth of our youth & economy, TULIP will provide fresh graduates an opportunity to intern with Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) for the first time. It will make them job ready with field experiences.
Program provides complete freedom to young graduates in identifying internships based on their interests & skills & to ULBs in designing internship programs to serve their needs.
Portal launched today has been designed by AICTE interns & Smart Cities fellows. It provides end-to-end solution from choice of place, subject, online interview, issuance of certificate to its repository access to the interns/ academia/ industry/ ULBs across the country.
TULIP will assist ULBs in getting fresh graduates to work in fields like Urban Planning, Ease of Doing Business, infrastructure, sanitation, innovative finance etc and bring Ease of Living to citizens.
Learning from doing will make youth market-ready. We target engage 25,000 interns in ULBs/ Smart Cities this year.
TULIP brings win-win-win to all stakeholders-students, academia/ industry & ULBs & huge win in making our cities self-reliant with new talents/creative co-creations.
This will in turn boost country’s economy.
