Of the £1.7b in #coronavirus contracts granted by the govt without competitive tender, the £109m deal for PPE signed with PestFix, a pest control company in Littlehampton with assets of just £47,000, is most bizarre.
The MD was sourcing PPE on LinkedIn. ft.com/content/7fe7c2…
The @Times picked up this story today & asked the Dept of Health why they awarded a £100m to a tiny pest control firm.
Their response was to attack the questioner & not give an answer to the question.
This a disturbingly familiar pattern with this govt.

Campaigners seek judicial review of the #PestFix contract.
An interesting quote at the end of the article: 67 million pieces of equipment delivered so far, which is said to be most of the contract.
This does not sounds like not a lot for £108million. ft.com/content/43bb10…
The govt claim that a £32m PPE contract was awarded as £108m "in error"
The £108m purchase order was issued by the govt 3 days before the tender process for the contract was supposed to conclude.
Fishy?

The @GoodLawProject are trying to expose this cronyism & corruption.
Pestfix - who were worth just £18,000 before they got the £109 million contract - are using these public funds to pay expensive lawyers to try & block an attempt to find out the truth.
