In the last three days, lots of people have talked to me about my daughter joining the #BlackLivesMatterUK protest, both @teamaccu colleagues and via messages. Thanks for some kind thoughts and further learning...
Others will be glad to hear social distancing being taken very seriously by #BlackLivesMatter supporters who spoke to me. But so too the centuries old social injustices which are STILL causing premature deaths amongst black and other minority ethnic groups. This is a real thing.

Everyone who spoke to me was anxious not to miss a rare opportunity to tackle structural racism and unfairness in our society. By role modelling progressive attitudes (especially older) white people can really help with this. But we have to accept we are part of the problem.
