Naib Subedar Mandeep Singh had been trapped in his village during the entire lockdown and had just returned back to join his unit.
His children joined the Army School at Patiala hoping to emulate their father.

Just three days before the Galwan Valley clash, he had called his family and had spoken to his wife.
But just when he was about to say something, there was poor connectivity in the network.
Naib Subedar Mandeep Singh's last words to his wife are lost forever to eternity.
