An ordinary teacher

Have you guys read this piece of shit article by Tavleen Singh?

She begins with how India is in danger not from Hindutva Fascists but from "jihadists". She implies that Hindu extremists are better than Muslim extremists because a Muslim extremist once chopped off the hand of a teacher in Kerala.

Of course Ms. Singh doesn't once mention the hundreds of Muslims who have been lynched for dietary choices or for just existing.

Yesterday I was disgusted to find a woke dalit handle go #BrahminicalPatriarchy over that a$$hole MP cop beating his wife and rightfully being hit back.

Now you might think why was a bemused?

Does #BrahminicalPatriarchy not exist?

Oh if only! It's because it does and is way effing more retarded than domestic violence.

Ramu, Sandeep, Ravi and Luv Kush raping the dalit girl from Hathras and paralysing her and inflicting unspeakable wounds on her is #BrahminicalPatriarchy

Please don't forget:

Demonetization broke the backbone of small and medium businesses, of farmers, of daily wage earners.

Yet most of them went ahead and voted for Modi in 2019

For once let us forget lynching of minorities, murder of activists and purchase of MLAs. But demonetization hurt them at a personal level.

Yet they voted for Modi.

During dark days I used to think that Indians voted Modi "to show Muslims their place".
I don't think that was ever the reason.
The reason is Godi media and it's propaganda.

I think Congress supporters should refrain from supporting any other political party unless an official coalition is formed.

Be it Mamta Banerjee or Pinarayi Vijayan.

Concentrate on your own party

Write about the wonderful work being done in Chattisgarh. Write about the dedication of your chief ministers from Captain Amarinder Singh to Ashok Ghelot.

Write supportive posts about coalition CMs like Uddhav Thackeray and Hemant Soren.

But keep equal opportunity leaders like Ms. Banerjee or Kejriwal at arm's length.

India has 545 elected representatives in the Lok Sabha.
I think it would be interesting to see what they have been saying for the last 15 months since elections last May.
To that effect I will be dedicating one tweet to each MP of India's Lower House in the ensuing thread. 1/n “BSNL has a system filled with traitors. In the coming days we will be removing all 88,000 employees."

As a Bengali, who worships Goddess Kali, I find this very very disturbing.
When all of India celebrates Diwali & Lakshmi Puja, we bongs worship Godess Kali. It's kali pujo for us.
Step onto the lanes or bylanes of Assam & WB you'll find enterprising little Ma Kaali establishments Ma kaali as bongs fondly call her is an emotion. The ultimate divine woman.
But, the people who are baying for this millenial's blood whose ADHD probably didn't let him Google Kaali are worse.
Why?

I know everyone is talking about how this is a video from years ago and not the video of Chinese casualties at Galwan as right wing media outlets claim.
My point is suppose China had 0 casualties. So what? Since when is the unit of bravery dead bodies of your enemy? Image Weren't our soldiers martyred in Galwan?Which means they risked their lives without a second thought. That's bravery. And the soldiers who risked their lives but fortunately did not have to make the ultimate sacrifice, are they any less brave?
These right morons are disgusting!

Btw it's about time Indian women understood that we ourselves by our very gender are a community.
Let me tell you something, doesn't mattere what your caste or creed or religion is. Try stepping out alone in the middle of a night on the streets of a town/city. What do you think will happen? Well maybe you won't get raped like that girl in Bangalore by her cab driver on her way to the airport for a work trip. Maybe you won't get raped and killed like that vet in Hyderabad or Jyoti Singh.

1948, Assam: Siraj, a movie  about a Muslim man sheltering a pregnant Hindu woman & raising her daughter after she dies. 1/n
#BegumJaan Image 1988, Assam: Bhupen Hazarika, who acted in the original Siraj, remakes the movie. It gets a lot of acclaim.
You can watch the movie on YouTube if you understand the Assamese language. 2/n

What happened in Bangalore is criminal.
Both the nasty Facebook post which was absolutely intended to rile up & hurt religious sentiments & the ensuing violence.
Law and order is supreme and cannot be compromised with in a modern civilization.
1/n
#BangaloreViolence But remember the Bulandshahr violence in December 2018? Bunch of gaurakshaks & hindutva nutjobs put a police station on fire.
A policeman was killed. All seven accused are out on bail.
When rioters get this kind of encouragement, what can be expected in the future? 2/n ImageImage

Did you know 4 madrassas in West Bengal have more Hindu students then Muslims?
Why you ask?
Because unlike what propaganda teaches you, madrassas are for holistic education. They don't teach you to make bombs and become terrorists.
Some even teach Sanskrit along with Arabic. m.hindustantimes.com/india/more-hin…

India is at 22 lakh confirmed covid19 cases right now.
If Modi doesn't declare an absolute lockdown soon, by the end of November we will be at 1 crore.
Mark my words!
Btw when I say lockdown I don't mean just switch the pause button and do nothing.
What the government needs 1/n to do right away:
1. Arrange a huge number of qurantine centres. Schools, colleges, university campuses, indoor stadiums can be used for the purpose.
2. Arrange for public houses with food and lodging for daily wage earners who have nowhere to go.
3. Give 72 hours to people 2/n

Modi is No 1 choice for PM & Yogi is No 1 choice for CM.
Says a @IndiaToday survey
Guess how many people participated?
12,021!
They are calling this the MOTN (Mood of the Nation)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 The MOTN poll was conducted by a Delhi-based market research agency.

Of course the agencies name was not given, because people would pry ans find out its connection with BJP's IT cell.😜😜

Like they did with Election commission in Maharashtra!

Now that the Ayodhya bhumipujan is over, I have a few questions as a self learning student of history and archaeology.
Apart from the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, the foundation stone of which was laid yesterday, where else do we have temples of SriRam in India that go back to the BCE? Next, befor Gowami Tulsidas composed his epic poem RamCharitManas in Awadhi, do we have any historical evidence of SriRam being worshipped as a God?

One statement from PGV about the Ram Mandir and all hell breaks loose.
Well, was she responsible for the demolition of Babri Masjid? Did she have any role to play in the SC judgement?
She is the General Secretary of INC from UTTAR PRADESH.
You think she has a chance to do 1/n any good for INC without pandering to Mandir politics?
The need of the hour right now is for INC to come back to power in a state like UP. You've seen the havoc Yogi regime has created in UP. Remember the Bulandshahr cop getting lynched in police station? Remember other 2/n

Friend: Innki humesha itni appeasement kyu hoti hain

Me: Kinki?

F: Mussalmano ki.

I felt bile rising in my mouth, acidic bile as I heard this. Kaisi appeasement?

Let me talk about my experiences briefly.

I have grown up in Assam, a tolerably secular state until....1/n ... BJP and Godi Media made its way here. Certain things every Assamese must have grown up with:

1. In educational institutions a ceremony or function starts with a beautiful rendition of Saraswati Vandana. Many of my Muslim friends know how to sing it..better than me..

The last education minister India had under Congress was Pallam Raju, MBA, Temple University, Philadelphia.

The present education minister under BJP is  Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank who "claims" an MA from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University.

First time I've heard that name! "Foreign universities have two aspects - content & brand. If we focus on the brand, we could lose out on the content. The idea is to focus on the content."

~Pallam Raju

"Astrology is the number one science for the entire world."

~Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank

I rest my case.

Once I was at a wedding at one of my ma's relatives' place... I was around seven or eight...

All the women my ma's age were housewives, save this one cousin sister of hers who was working..

(Yeah, we Indians call them cousin brothers and cousin sisters... deal with it)

1/n
I didn't know her

Suddenly this beautiful beautiful woman stepped in..She was wearing a white saree with a narrow blue border and chunky turquoise jewellery and a blue bindi

I had never in my life seen someone this beautiful..her thick black curly hair was plaited loosely..

When the provider-nurturer role was divided between men and women, as with the case of our parents' generation, how many times have we heard women being told, "You should be content with what your man provides you and not greed for more."

But have we ever heard a man being told, " Be satisfied with how your woman cooks and keeps house. Do not greed for more."??
