Rajiv Gandhi Foundation usurped money not just from PMNRF, but from central ministries too.
In addition, funding from:
1. Embassies & govts ranging from China to Luxemburg
2. Industries ranging from RIL to GVK
3. Banks ranging from SBI to SCB
Let's see what they did with this
1. INTERACT scholarships: To provide scholarships for children affected by conflict.
Claim is that 2115 were provided scholarship & 134 of them pursued higher edu. Since 1993, they supported ~80 students a year.
And oh btw, kaagaz dikhana hai.

2. Rajiv Gandhi Access to Opportunities Program: "Award specially designed vehicles" for the handicapped.
Claim is that since 1992, 2900 vehicles awarded. That's about ~100 per year.
The small scale doesn't correspond to the funding!

3. Rajiv Gandhi Cambridge Scholarship (ha!): Collaborated with another trust (oh the maze!)
Tickets to 140 students of UK universities to visit India!
Funded 60 Indian students to puruse 2nd degree.
Since 2014: Scholarships for 6 Ph.D students. Cost shared by 3 trusts!
4. Natural Resource Management: Established in 2001. Did nothing till 2011 (Yes, 10 full years!). Then decides to be 1 of the 3 donors of "Gram Gaurav" NGO working on Raj/MP border
Claims 1760 families impacted. No clarity if this is NGOs overall no or just RGF impacted nos.
5. Heritage - Archives & Gallery: Purpose is to maintain "Archives on Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s life and work."
All his photos, videos, speeches etc. Government money for this!!

6. Schools program: Click on their link that reads "Schools program" and you get "Coming soon"

7. Wonderoom: A library-cum-activity centre in Jawahar Bhavan Delhi. Claims 6000 books for children and activities. Their FB page shows activities. If this is true, then only meaningful program they have is this, but the impact is very less.

8. Relief and Rehabilitation: Very very unclear numbers and dates. Looks like since 1992, only 5000 families have been helped. And some tests for 9000 patients.

Now, take a look at the donor list of RGF for just one year (2005-06).
With such kind of funding, not even 200 students per year benefited; not even 500 families per year benefited.
I have known smaller NGOs with lesser funding that have created a bigger impact.
