A different take? While living on an overpopulated planet with limited resources & orphaned children, choosing to procreate is quite possibly the most selfish thing that anyone could do.
FWIW, I don't actually think that parents are inherently selfish. I also don't think that #childfree people are inherently selfish. The decision to have children or not to have children is personal, and it's not on anyone to make a judgment call either way.
Btw, just because someone doesn't have children of their own doesn't mean they haven't spent a significant portion of their life caring for, financially supporting, and/or raising another human. #Children #childfree
Most of the #childfree by choice people I know spent their entire goddamn childhoods raising people who should have been raising them and/or they spent time raising their fellow siblings. They put in the work, and they're damn tired.
You might have started being a parent or guardian when you were in your 20s or 30s, but your #childfree by choice friends may have started that shit when they themselves were still kids.
I've never wanted children. My t-shirt from @TheNC says: "These boots were made for knocking. #ThxBirthControl!" ( Click link 2 C the shirt: funkybrownchick.com/photos/ )
Cheers to sex for recreational fun, not procreation. ❤ #childfree
