Police at #BHAZ near White House just targeted and arrested woman giving out water. About to go live once this posts.
Literally she just handed me water not a minute before that clip.
Tonight outside the White House, police arrested activist Camilla Greer @greerrrr, seemingly at a random moment. At the time, she had been handing out water bottles.
Afterwards, police wouldn't explain why it happened/if there was a warrant.
I livestreamed until about 3am. Each night for the past week, police have plowed through the area, in some cases deploying mace and destroying tents. That didn't occur tonight.
Lots of small talk/bickering, but this caught my eye:
MPD cop: "We didn't tear gas anybody."
Activist: "I was tear gassed here not too long ago."
"By who?"
"Y'all"
"No. United States Park Police may have deployed chemical irritants..."
Lieutenant shuts him up.
Camilla Greer has been released after her arrest early this morning.
