So why go with @questrpg for our @aznsrepresent actual play? As we close out the first season of our "Dungeons & Da Asians" actual play, which we plan on renaming (suggestions welcome!), here's are some of my thoughts on switching to a new game system! #ttrpg /thread

Let's start by saying that I won't be playing in any public 5e games until we see some real change in WotC.

Quest works really well on-stream or during a recording. The ability system feels like it is designed to have narrative impact over mechanical functionality. It lets use create on the fly and make the characters as we see them in the story! No more searching a character sheet.

The roles (classes) feel more like optional rules and I love that. Why? Because it allows us to build the actual roles we want! The Martial Artist, Youxia, and Sky Soldier are now much easier for us to create as we play game! Hacking the game is encouraged.

Race is not a mechanical feature of the game. You can be whatever you want to be and the game does not tell you how to play your character. Your character is truly yours.
