1). Say what!!!

We had 126 deaths recorded today & newspapers are reporting this as a ‘GOOD NEWS STORY’!

Not only is this the “lowest Wednesday rise since lockdown” but it is a fall from yesterday’s death toll of 155.

On the day we locked down, there had been 55 deaths. 55!

2). Of these 281 deaths in the UK in the last 2 days, 276 were in England.

Why is the British media reporting on soaring deaths in US & Brazil but NOT the fact UK has by far the highest death rate in the world.

If this graph had “England” it would be even further out in front.

3) When we locked down, the TOTAL death toll was 336 and we were scared

Now it is 50,000+ & we’re down the pub

The @JohnsHopkinsIH graphs
don’t include include Spain, Italy, Sweden & France (worse than US), or Belgium (Worldometer says is worse than UK). coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/new-cases

It seems that the death rate (ratio of total deaths to total population) is a little higher than in Belgium than in the UK. Apologies for the error.

5) The govt have now reportedly sidelined SAGE.

There is no longer any pretence that they are “guided by the science.”
