Right now, winning the presidency is about assembling voters in key states drawn from your party's natural base and as many swing voters as possible, using whatever means necessary.

Democrats choose to use physical attributes to assemble their coalitions.

Obama had neither qualifications nor celebrity. He ran during an economic crisis in a GOP presidency, and as the first black president, and against McCain who was old GOP

Using that, he was able to assemble a voter coalition of people fucked by the economy, voters wanting the first black president, and voters wanting an end to the war.

He betrayed all 3, but the Dem base expanded while the GOP base continued to shrink, and Romney spiked the ball.

Trump used his celebrity as a tool to reach out to voters to assemble a coalition. His campaign understood the concept of assembling a coalition.

Hillary just assumed she'd inherit Obama's.

Trump's coalition were the betrayed Obama voters, the people who had never voted before out of political alienation, the industrial workers destroyed by decades of shit trade policy, and people wanting to drop a nuke on the political establishment. That was his voter coalition.

Now? He's grown it, simply by virtue of cementing the GOP base around him, and pulling in more of the people who'd never voted before, and then further by going after the Dem voters who felt held hostage by the far left.

Crossover votes are going to be the death knell of Biden.

Trump not only got the voter coalition, but he targeted the blue wall to get it.

When's the last time you heard a Dem talk about the Blue Wall that'll keep the GOP from ever winning again? How demographics will end the GOP?
