Sharing a new concept of #RTG, a pattern which I take as a very powerful sign on charts. This is basically Red to Green transformation, #RTG - a term coined by me. Lets see it on charts. I had traded this last year in #GujaratGas, sharing that chart as well.

There is no rocket science behind #RTG, it is quite simple. In candlestick reversal patterns, the most important thing is how deep the candle retrace. Like between Thrust, Piercing & Engulfing, the basic difference is nothing but the depth of retracement. The thrust 2/n

being the weakest one, retracing less than half of previous opposite color bar. Piercing retraces more than half, while engulfing retraces beyond the complete opposite color bar. Take the same concept- in this the candle retraces beyond the opposite color candle by the gap 3/n

itself. So, it is even more powerful than an engulfing. There are only two things to keep in mind-

1) The previous opposite color bar should be a momentum bar, so the reversal should be decisive.
2) The gapped up candle should sustain the momentum throughout the day. 4/n

Today we saw the same thing in two stocks, #MAHEPC & #Dhanuka. Observe the difference between both: MahEPC had a strong red bar, which reversed today with a gapup. In Dhanuka, the previous red bar wasn't that strong, hence the reversal wasn't strong. 5/5

Came to know that this is very much similar to Kicker pattern. I always believed that there are very less new concepts & ideas. So if we had a proper name, the new names makes no sense! But say it Kicker or RTG/GTR, the impact will be similar!
