We’re organizing against this fascistic clown show of a regime the only way that actually works: With on-the-ground, volunteer-led, communities of people power.

Tonight, @realDonaldTrump commuted the sentence of his partner-in-crime and convicted felon Roger Stone. Stone was convicted of 7⃣ counts of lying to Congress and witness tampering related to the Trump campaign's ties to Russia. /THREAD nytimes.com/2020/07/10/us/…

In the words of @RepAdamSchiff, "With this commutation, Trump makes clear that there are two systems of justice in America: one for his criminal friends, and one for everyone else."

It's just another example of a president who thinks he is above the law.

The truth is, we shouldn't be surprised. But we should be angry. The Senate had the opportunity in February to hold Trump accountable for his lawlessness. But instead, they let him get away with it.

Just like they let him get away with endless attempts to take away our healthcare. Or, separate kids from their parents at the border. Or, let hundreds of thousands of people die from COVID because there was no plan or tests.

We're going to make sure they own it. So tonight, we've got 2 asks:

First, sign up here to tell us you’re all in to do the work to defeat Trump and defeat these 11 Republican enablers. Our digital program launches in two weeks: pledge.indivisible.org

If you can, chip in $25 to fund our work and ensure that this November, these 11 Republicans and Donald Trump get a loud and clear message that #NobodyIsAboveTheLaw. We’re talking tons of ads, 30 million texts and phone calls, and more. secure.actblue.com/donate/payback…

We know that the news right now is overwhelming and infuriating. But folks, in 116 days, we’re going to win.
