Troops being bought ahead to beef up deployment in near future at LAC. China may have agreed to move back a little but that didn’t mean it’ll stop strengthening its positions on Chinese side. And this location ( Ngari airport) is hardly 250 km from Pangong lake.
1. Troops being bought ahead to beef up deployment in near future at LAC. China may have agreed to move back a little but that didn’t mean it’ll stop strengthening its positions on Chinese side. And this location ( Ngari airport) is hardly 250 km from Pangong lake.
2. These could also be construction workers and equipment in bulk to speed up the defences and construction being built up on LAC. China would want to finish it all beside winters sets in.
3. This could also be to ferry troops back to bases, which have come back from recent LAC deployment. This looks highly unlikely because strategically thinking, no one would vacate the location so soon, when enemy is still holding ground in strength.
4. This should be taken seriously because it does break some myths of landing this beast of carriage capacity of 200 tons at this altitude. A few sorties of this,n Chinese can easily be landing armoured formations this ahead. It may just get hot in the zone, ‘winters are coming’!
Guess it should’ve definitely been taken seriously. The Y 20s in the area were possibly carrying troops and AFVs for deployment ahead. And now we see increased deployment and movement in Gar county, as I said in thread on 12th July. #IndiaChinaStandOff
