Dear @RichaChadha ji,

I cannot explain in words the hurt I felt seeing your tweet. It’s not everyday that you come across such loathsome words from a fellow citizen. It’s not about me being a Fauji. It’s not even about you not being one. It’s the sheer audacity and shamelessness with which you’ve trivialised the sacrifices of those who lost their lives and limbs at #GalwanValley.

In your movies, and this goes out to other members of Bollywood too - you all are very keen to play roles of Armed force personnel. Then your characters become pinnacle

Bollywood imagines itself to have matured by showing clichéd lifestyle of substance abuse n promiscuity.
Real maturity is movies like #KashmirFiles that show the horrors of our history. That force you to think! @vivekagnihotri @AnupamPKher
The reality that we ought to know but has been suppressed long enough for vested interests.
Lot of genocides have been ignored and not acknowledged; but by other nations. Cambodia, Armenia etc. There isn’t a single example except India where an entire country has been kept in dark about such brutality against

Drill and Marching Columns

Since the marching contingents have become such a hot topic these days, and in coming days we will see a lot of them in parades, I thought I’ll take a stab at sharing with everyone what exactly goes into making these marching columns and bands. Drill is actually one of the first things you’re taught when you join the academy. In case of Jawans, in their respective regimental / corps Centers.

A layman, oversimplified version of drill is doing something repetitively, enhancing and honing muscle memory for that and each

There was Clubhouse room Akashi where you were moderating for Saket, few months back. Since the topic was ‘Haryana Politics’ so I joined and saw lies were being peddled with hurrahs from the supporters. When I told Saket point blank that he’s lying, you muted me moved me to audience. Then you, along with Saket and couple of other guys made made considerable fun of veterans, Hindus and as expected, BJP. I remember how you and a fellow speaker offered ‘Two Rupees’ to me because that day in morning I had tweeted ‘Jai Sri Raam’ as it was some auspicious

Reality of Cab booking: Thread

I’m sure @Uber started its operations in India assuming it’ll replicate the same seamless operations and comfort of booking a cab, as is abroad. But sadly, every time you’re booking an Uber, you’re hostage to these Cab drivers’ whimsical actions and surprisingly there is no
possibility of complaint or redressal of customer’s grievance.

Let me walk you through a process of booking an Uber. You’ll go to App, enter where you wanna go and press enter. The App connects you to the nearest driver, or the one who accepts the

This article in Hindu states the clarification by @adgpi about the propaganda video launched by #PAFF that tries to create a story and to prove it, shows an image of a bag and its contents that they captured. I have PERSONALLY checked from military

thehindu.com/news/national/… sources that the soldier mentioned in this video was never the part of ongoing operations, and is alive and serving in his unit. To further elaborate on the dumbness of propaganda, they morphed ID card of a soldier who wasn’t even mentioned in the causality list by @adgpi Futher

The South Asian Geopolitics is about to go, rather undergoing drastic and unprecedented change.
1. It’s time for India to step up and enter into a bigger role than just focusing on itself. If it’s a battle of influence, you cannot hope to gain more by not participating in regional activities. Sri Lanka post great, Bangladesh resolution of borders and increase in trade and commerce great. But Pakistan continues to be a nuisance that India is unable to find an answer to. Either by diplomacy or by force, the dispute has to be ended for India to gain

I personally have lot of respect of Mr @ARanganathan72, especially for his panache with stats and facts to counter rhetorics. But I guess in this debate, he needs to understand that Army itself as an Organization is a fact, result and performance based Organization. The end game will always be to be a ruthless war machine and win every battle. Whatever makes that happen, let’s do it ! In same breath, Caste based Regiments have proven their success since the time British created them. Even they followed the same principle. We don’t look deeply enough but

Spy Stories by Adrian Levy and Cathy Scott is exactly opposite of what investigative journalism is all about. On Pakistani side, a fictional Shahrukh Khan type over the top ISI spy becomes a protagonist who’s suddenly fighting everyone from ISI to Al Qaeda. On India side, they gone to extreme lengths to disparage, implicate and pull down Indian government, Modi and NSA. Page after page they’ve tried to push the ‘Saffron terror’ up and given a clean chit to ISI on almost everything. For a book focused on Inter services rivalry, dedicating lot of pages

Sharing a nice story on this auspicious day of #KargilDiwas.
During the war, millions of children from across the country wrote letters to faujis who were fighting on the front, sending their love and encouragement. The letters are distributed amongst all units and then further to all companies, so everyone gets the to read them. I also got a few and replied to them. But my buddy, from 8 Sikh got one from Mhow, a place where we were about to for our Young Officers Mandatory course.
So when we reached there, in early 2000, he showed me the letter and

This is no joke ! The systematic subjugation of Indian minds has been achieved through programming children from young age about invaders’ superiority. The text books in syllabus and other historic material considered as authoritative narration, written by agenda driven academicians is brutally dishonest and prejudiced against Indians. Let me explain by example. Think of the most famous battles you can of our history, that you can recall immediately from your school time.
1. Panipat’s 3 battles
2. Palassey
3. Buxar
4. Haldighati
5. Saragarhi

Drone attacks : Jammu AF station

Specific to Indo-Pak situation, there has been lot of talk on Drone based deliveries or arms and ammo. I personally don’t think that’s a useful or even probable tactic. However, dropping low level IEDs to *Distract* the troops, to ensure the main attack is carried out seamlessly and undetected is what these drones can achieve. This attacks proves following :
1. Diversion - so ground troops get distracted and occupied, so main attack has less hurdles.
2. Possibility of damaging Air assets - possible, coz

Bollywood has been flogging a dead horse called ‘Love between common people of India and Pakistan’ for far too long now. It stopped making sense but Bollywood refuses to grow up, as expected from an innovation devoid setup.

People who suffered the pain of partition, always had some fine memories about their native places. My grandparents included. It’s expected that the stories, literature, music etc had a tone and tinge of pain of this separation from friends and in many cases families too. Memories haunt and their pangs were

The ‘Cho’ (notch) in the base of the Khukri has been a topic of many discussion within and outside the regiment. The truth is, no one knows the EXACT real reason behind it, and it has just followed through traditionally as part of shape of the weapon. The top reasons however are: 1. Stopping blood traveling from blade to the handle, and stopping the grip from becoming slippery and uncomfortable to hold.
Fact - Blood still travels to handle from other parts of blade, as sharp edge is not the only place that’s wet from blood and it DOES become

The story of Punjabi ‘Chittar’ !

I think some thoughts need to be penned down in honor of this legendary weapon.

Specifications : Mostly rubber made. But versions of plastic have been found too. Impact on enemy has been same though.

Versions : Mostly Indian. But foreign made have also been found to penetrate the battle field with equal competency.

Employability : a weapon of varied qualities and usages, it has significantly found its employability in following roles -
1. Anti Shrieking Kids Homing Missile - The moment a kid starts to cry loudly/

Clubhouse is now looks like flight from Delhi to New York.
The Business class rooms are filled with NRIs speaking in accented Hindi and English trying to tell the cabin crew how much they love India, it’s culture and vibrancy while displaying their US passports, which they’ll obviously never give up.

The premium economy are huge families traveling together where everyone is busy shouting over each other on what to do and how to do and how they’ve done it. Basically the ‘intellectuals’ of LW and RW and their echo chambers each applauding each

Where did Spanish Flu originate - Not Spain !
Most probably China. First known case USA.

China, by coercion, cajoling, playing victim card, labelling others as racist, intimidation, paying media etc has managed to shake off ‘China - virus’ tag. On the other hand, the propaganda to start labelling it as ‘Indian Variant’ in on full swing. News reports across the world have started to call it that, and the blame can directly be put on our own, who have happily propagated this nomenclature. Those who say “what’s the big deal”

Hamas apparently is hoping to overwhelm and saturate #IronDome’s capabilities to intercept and then have a free run for rocket attacks on Israel.
1. Iron dome is meant to intercept small range rockets falling over vital territories. It does not intercept every rocket. The high quality sensor package with ID picks the the trajectory of rockers coming in and calculates the impact zone. If it isn’t falling over some vital / critical/ inhabited area, ID will not take action.
2. Once the trajectory is identified, and is considered as a valid threat, the ID

Sir, I generally don’t get into these debates, but since you’ve broached the topic, I’ll definitely submit my two paise.
1. I filled Hindu in the form because the SSB asked for it. I didn’t go there wearing bhagwa and shouting from rooftops that I’m a Hindu. There’s a difference between proving identity versus feigning supremacy.
2. I’m a proud Hindu. Just like @SinghNavdeep Sir is a proud Sikh and my coursemate Maj Salman Khan, SC (P) was a proud Muslim and another course-mate who is leading COVID support via air transport is a proud Christian. The

Sep 2019, I went to Russia as part of Indian delegation at BRICS summit in Ufa. Post the summit, we had some meetings for few days in Moscow and then had to come back. On the day of return flight, during immigration I started to feel funny in my face and started to lose balance. I didn’t want to
