I was just on my way to grab lunch when I saw officers wearing helmets and shields enter the luxury Landmark mall. They rounded up a handful of boys who had been staging a small lunchtime protest inside. #HongKongProtests
Multiple police vans and a couple dozen cops to deal with 4 boys inside a mall.
Again, they’re quite young. One of them is a dedicated lunchtime protest leader. It appears as though the plainclothes cops were the ones charged with grabbing them and taking their info down.
A French lady was trying to get past the police cordon. I overheard her say on the phone: “There are 2 little kids and 50 police officers”
They’ve blocked off the Mandarin Oriental entrance to the Landmark atrium, right by Christian Dior.
They are taking down the info of the last of the four boys.
They’ve released the four boys and have left the mall. I guess I’ll go eat my stupid tacos now... 😔
I’ve left but one came back and has been joined by another. They are signing Glory to HK and holding up blank sheets of paper.
