Melbourne South Sudanese - Serial arsehole with "NO REMORSE" - Violent thug Dur Bidong jailed for Cranbourne North brawl which left boy fighting for life

A gang leader who used Snapchat to orchestrate a brutal bashing at a Cranbourne North home that left a boy fighting for life

has now been sentenced 17 times for violent offending. So why could the serial menace be out of jail in less than three weeks?

A thug led a brutal revenge bashing at a Cranbourne North home which left a boy fighting for life with serious head and spinal injuries.

Dur Bidong, 26, was sentenced in the County Court on Wednesday to a minimum 12 months’ jail after pleading guilty to affray.

However, the serial menace could be out in less than three weeks after already spending 348 days in custody.

Bidong, armed with a pole, and “30-40 mostly African males”, attacked the Endeavour Drive home just after midnight on December 21 2017.

The court heard Bidong wanted revenge for an alleged assault on his younger brother earlier that night.

The 15-year-old victim, Zac Kupke, and his mate Aaron went to investigate after hearing a noise outside their home.

The boys saw two “males” out front then heard a whistle just before the rest of Bidong’s gang rocked up.

An unknown gang thug smashed a window and another yelled: “We’re finally here to get you c***”.

The home’s other occupants — including four young girls — locked the doors to keep the invaders out.

The boys ran back to the house but four unknown gang members savagely bashed Zac

with a metal pole.

The gang fled on foot before Aaron dragged his mate back to the house.

Zac was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries including skull, facial and spinal fractures and bleeding on the brain.

Police arrested Bidong later that day.

The prolific thug had only been out of jail three months when he committed the affray.

Judge Carlin said Bidong has been sentenced 16 times for various violent offences which have been “increasing in severity”.

“Unfortunately, nothing has deterred you …,” Judge Carlin said.

“Unless you dramatically change your attitude you not only risk squandering the opportunity this country has afforded (but) you are (also) destined for a life in and out of prison.”

Bidong was jailed for a maximum 22 months.
