House and Senate primaries are being held in 5 states today including in Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri and Washington.

Arizona GOP Appointed-Senator Martha McSally faces primary challenger Daniel McCarthy today. Winner will likely face Democrat Mark Kelly in the fall election to serve out remainder of the late John McCain’s term until 2022. #AZSEN

In #AZ01, 2nd term Democratic Rep. Tom O’Halleran faces primary challenger former Flagstaff city councilwoman Eva Putzova.Republicans in the district will also elect nominee for the fall election today.O'Halleran won 2018 election to Flagstaff area House seat w/53.8% of the vote.

In #AZ02, Democratic Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick faces primary challenger Peter Quilter with the winner facing GOP nominee also being elected today. Kirkpatrick won 2018 election for the Tucson area seat with 54.7% of the vote.

In #AZ06, 5th term GOP Rep. David Schweikert,who was recently reprimanded by full House for misusing official funds,is unopposed in GOP primary. 4 Democrats are running to face him in fall election for Scottsdale/North Phoenix seat. Schweikert won in 2018 with 55.2% of the vote.

In #AZ09, three Republicans are running in the GOP primary today to face 1st term Democratic Rep. Greg Stanton in the fall election. Stanton won his first election to the House with 61.1% of the vote for House seat which includes Tempe, parts of Phoenix, Chandler and Mesa.

In Kansas, 11 candidates are running in #KSSen GOP primary today to succeed retiring 4th term Republican Pat Roberts including Kris Kobach & 2nd term #KS01 Rep. Roger Marshall. Democrats will choose btwn Barbara Bollier and Robert Tillman to face GOP nominee in the fall election.

In #KS01, with GOP Rep. Roger Marshall running for US Senate, voters in central and western Kansas district have an open House race. Four Republicans and two Democrats are on the ballot today. President Trump won the district by by 45 points in 2016.

1st term #KS02 GOP Rep Steve Watkins,who was charged with felony voter fraud this month,is facing primary challenger state Treasurer Jake LaTurner.Democrats are also choosing their party nominee today.Watkins won his 1st election to Topeka area seat in 2018 by less than a point.

Five Republicans are running to face 1st term #KS03 Democratic Rep. Sharice Davids in the fall election. Davids won her 1st election to Congress in 2018 with 53.6% of the vote, flipping the Kansas City area House seat by defeating 4th term GOP Rep. Kevin Yoder.

It's open #MI03 House race with 5th term Republican-turned-Independent-turned-Libertarian Congressman Justin Amash not running for reelection to the Grand Rapids area seat.

Republicans & Democrats in #MI10 district are electing their nominees to succeed retiring 2nd term GOP Rep. Paul Mitchell for House seat which stretches from northern Detroit suburbs into the Michigan 'Thumb'. GOP has held the seat since 2003 despite district boundaries changing.

1st term #MI13 Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib faces primary challenger Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones again.She defeated Jones in Democratic primary 2yrs ago but lost to her in special election primary on the same day for remainder of Rep John Conyers's term.

In the Show Me State's St. Louis area House district, 10th term #MO01 Democratic Rep. William Lacy Clay faces a rematch against primary challenger activist Cori Bush, who is backed by the progressive group Justice Democrats. Clay defeated Bush 56.7%-36.9% in 2018.

Possible 2018 rematch in #WA03: 5th term GOP Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler is running in the state's "top 2" primary election today along Democrat Carolyn Long, whom she defeated in 2018 election for Vancouver area seat 52.7%-47.3%.

With #WA10 Democratic Rep. Denny Heck running to be state's next Lt. Gov instead of 5th House term,primary voters in Southern Puget Sound region will select 2 candidates to face off in the fall to become their new House mbr. Heck has held seat since district was created in 2013.
