4 years down the line,nothing seem to have changed. Why?
Yesterday,I made a tweet on how I can't kill myself for Nursing but some misunderstood that post and I think I need to explain to my followers who I truly respect
I've always been at the forefront when it comes to fighting for the just course of Nurses and I will always do. This is the foundation on which the organisation I built with like minded Fellows @FellowNurses1 stands on and we will continue to do this no matter what happens.
What brought about my post yesterday?
It was born out of the overwhelming issues arising lately in the profession. From quackery, to slanders to poor public image perception and most importantly the attitudes of nurses themselves. Barely a month ago,when Tunde ednut made his post
about Nurses I had a chat with @proudnursemj and I remember vividly telling her there's need for attitudinal changes on the part of the nurses themselves.
We're jointly fighting to redeem the poor public image of nursing but all you do on this app is to twerk and dance
erotically,expose your body parts for clouts, engage in discussion on how you can't do without sex daily or how you prefer dildo to a man &when we try to call you to order,you tell us you're a nurse and that doesn't mean you can't do whatever you like at your privacy. Your handle
name is sexy nurse this and that, hot nurse so so so and so, we talk and You tell us you own your page and you can do anything you like with it. But when they come with the songs "Nurses are prostitutes" you expect me to say No and fight for on your behalf, no dear, kole werk!
We have to put our house in order first.
We have to learn how to be professional both online and offline.
There's need for us to change our attitudes especially when it comes to our sexual fantasies.
There's no smoke without fire !
And yes , we know #Nursesarenotsexualobjects but please let it reflect in your words, actions and deeds.
