JUST A NURSE❌
A NURSE AND MORE💯
While you sleep,I stayed awake to ensure this patient on oxygen gets the right quantity.Patients on oxygen are vulnerable to complications like oxygen toxicity. This can damage the lungs of the patients & send them to untimely graves.
While this is ongoing, I’ve got another on Variable Rate Insulin Infusion ( VRIII ) and requires hourly BM. If this isn’t done, this patient ends up getting too much or too little insulin which invariably can kill him.

Some UKRNS are already complaining that the UK process is too easy that's why the influx of Nigerians are on the rising side now. They're afraid that the people they ran from in Nigeria are coming to meet them and relocation will soon lose its pride completely.
Some are even registering for NCLEX already just so you guys won't meet them in the UK & if you've met them, they want to run from you. I'll say this again, "Japaing" isn't for one person alone and as a matter of fact, the sky is wide enough for all of us to fly.

To begin, the NHS is a well structured organisation which values equity & equality. The article 5 of UK Human Rights Act 1998 is one that frowns against discrimination of any sort. As a human, if you've got the necessary documents & qualifications, you can work anywhere in the UK.

Dear UKRNIJN,
Last week, I promised to share the strategy you need to ace your IELTS reading test. From interaction with test takers,a larger percentage of them find the IELTS reading most difficult than others.Infact it's the reason many keep writing countless number of times.
It was the most difficult aspect for me too. I came across this strategy from an online friend who had had 9.0. I used this same strategy and from struggling between 6.5 and 7, I jumped to 8.5 in my practice tests within few days. Although, I later had 7.0 in the actual test.

WORKING IN ISOLATION; A CASE OF NIGERIAN NURSING ACADEMICIANS.
As much as I hate comparisons, permit me to remind you that the Current president of NMA and physiotherapists' association are professors while that of the MLS is a PhD holder!
When there's an issue of national/public health emergency, you see these intellectuals on Televisions, Radios and other media platforms coming to address the public and most importantly, their members.
Here's what it means
You can catch #COVID19 when Papa Nkechi who has it coughs, sneezes, or talks, spewing nasal and throat secretions into the air. Those sections fly and hang in the air or land on other people or surfaces.

I was having a chat with a doctor friend sometimes last week and he was telling me of how their lecturers and consultants abused, bullied and messed up with their self concept in the medical school. It was so bad that some will tell them they should forget being a doctor.
Some will tell them they will never graduate and if they manage to do, they can never make a good doctor.
I used to think this happens only in the nursing school, I never knew it was worse in medical school.

On many occasions, when people meet me for the first time, they tend to address me as a Dr rather than a nurse, doctors inclusive.
When I tell them I'm a Nurse, you hear them say but you look like a Dr.
You talk like a Dr and I ask,
how does a Dr look?
How does a Dr talk?
There's this public perception that Nurses can't dress or look cute.
Some still believe that nurses are timid and can't speak without making grammatical blunders.
Some even feel nurses have this kind of "Inferiority complex"

They sent for me and one other MO to counsel her and refer to start antiretroviral therapy ASAP.
At first, I was hesitant but after the whole scenario, being part of the counseling was worth it.

SHE CONFESSED AND RAN MAD!
I was having a discharge teaching with one of our patients yesterday who's going home 4days post CS. I listened to her as she prays for another colleague she will never have to give birth through CS. I asked if it was a crime giving birth that way?
She made reference to another patient of ours who met her at the hospital, gave birth and was discharged the following morning. In her own Case, she's still hlat the hospital after 4days coupled with the fact that she will have to be nursing the incision site till it heals up.

The pastor, parents and relatives brought him when he was no longer responsive.
Disappointments and shame were written all over the pastor when the baby was pronounced dead. The mother Started crying and then pointing fingers of accusations to the pastor and his church
