Substraction thread
Particularly relevant for time management
Set an aspirational hourly rate, it will help you to quantify the importance of activities and stay focused
Substraction leads to simplicity
KISS: Why = pain point (PP) = opportunity = MVP's USP
Other than that: YAGNI, don't waste resources
Your products are built one PP at a time, in diminishing returns
Resource allocation prioritized by ROI
When ROI for next PP is too low: the product is finished, i.e. dead

It's easy to find a complex way to create huge hypothetical value
Finding a way simple enough to be implemented by a single person is easy too… for small actual value: many minimum income jobs
Scale the value, keep the requirements low, how far can you get?
Keep it simple
Here X: Y reads as "To do X, do Y"
Find a job: show the value you can create: prove by selling: sell something at a gain (no loss): create the added value
But if you can do that? Would you want a job
Better creating than consuming, jobs too; so that you can consume when needed
JS may be the best option to create value, it is simple and runs on browsers, outcompeting Java ("runs «everywhere»") with simplicity
Some people will tell you the way to create value is capturing time or attention, taking something from people, creating artificial complexity,…
Disregard them, attention may give you fame and status, but it destroys time, the most valuable asset
This is a substraction thread
To create value, take hassle from people's lives, not their time, attention, or energy
Automate the things they have to do but do not want to do
If you are going to say something, first make sure it is better than the silence
Try to think what is the best thing that you could be doing now, do that
Very rarely someone else would be able to tell you that better than yourself
Leaders create leaders […], make yourself one
