About a dozen officers and a couple dozen protesters are outside the District 1 police station they are demanding the release of individuals who are still here from last night's rioting. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

Things are very very calm here. Police are out front with bikes, and protesters have food and a banner. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

Heard that a half a dozen are being held with Disorderly Conduct and 1 with Unlawful Use of a Fire Arm, here at District 1. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

The group here outside of District 1 has grown to a little over 50 people. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

Now a little over 100 people are out here, and some music is now playing from a speaker nearby. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

The plan is to occupy the space and until people are released from the police station then party. Rage Against the Machines "Killing in the name of" is currently playing. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

A CTA bus of cops just arrived at the District 1 police station. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

A dozen or more additional cops are on scene now. An order went out to put "Shields Down" and all of the officers with helmets now have the visors down. The atmosphere is still pretty calm both cops ans protesters are just standing around chatting. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

On the 17th Street side of the District 1 station there's some protesters and cops not much going on here just like the state side, a lot of standing around and talking. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

A group of officers came along the protesters left flank with clubs in hand. Protesters met them with umbrellas and after a bit the cops retreated back into the District 1 Station. #Chicago #ChicagoProtests

Folks are now dancing to My Chemical Romances "Black Parade" outside the District 1 police station.
