Especially great to see Chevron's Gorgon failed CCS scandal getting proper national airing. Hopefully WA government forces them to make good.

Gorgon was legally required to sequester millions of tonnes of CO2. CCS failed for three years, pushing our emissions up. They faced no penalty. The federal 'safeguard mechanism' is so cooked the missions limit for Gorgon actually assumed CCS failed theguardian.com/environment/20…
Chevron has made stupid profits on its WA LNG assets. We know because they boasted about it. Offsetting the emissions it dumped would be a tiny share of those profits.
