I have TWO fires to tell you about: #MeyersFire & #WalbridgeFire

These are all part of the LNU Lightning Complex in Napa, Sonoma & Solano Counties
✅Total size Complex (8 fires) is 46,225 acres
✅1,900 structures are threatened (probably more than that now)
✅50 have been destroyed
✅50 have been damaged

THE SITUATION
📌Some fires are now burning in old burn scars - from 2017
📌Steep & rugged terrain in most areas where fires burn
📌Critically dry fuels and drought stressed trees abound
📌COVID-19 priorities include enhanced hygiene, PPE & health monitoring by first responders

🌥Strong W-NW winds gusting up to 40MPH in ridges & gaps
🌥Valley gusts up to 22 MPH
🌥Max temp expected to be 102 in some areas

❗️I've heard multiple people calling in need for support or rescue after *choosing* not to heed evacuation warnings. Don’t be that guy (it's almost always a guy! 😝). Please get out and if you need help call 9-1-1 ASAP. I want you to be SAFE!

❗️Be nice! Be patient. I know it’s hard. I’m a fire survivor myself. But, we’re all on the same playing field here and you're not anymore entitled to more information than the next. Whether you own a mansion, vineyard or a modest trailer. We’re all in this together.

Started 8/17 west of #Healdsburg and north of #Guerneville. Formally known as 13-4. Threatening Armstrong Woods and Guerneville.

Started 8/17 north of #Jenner. It’s crossed Hwy 1 and is burning along ocean and heading south. Formally known as 11-16
