Following the gruesome murders of two men;54-year-old Allan Amadi & Gideon Habwe in June 2020, Four robbery with violence suspects believed to be members of a criminal gang terrorizing Vihiga County residents have in the past three days been arrested by @DCI_Kenya Detectives.
In the first case, on 10th June 2020 a gang armed with crude weapons attacked Mr. Allan Amadi who was a night guard at Bei Bora Agrovet within Kima market in Vihiga, striking his head with a machete and killing him instantly.
In pursuit of the perpetrators, the CR&IB and Luanda-based detectives narrowed down on two key suspects; Francis Apeli Anemba and Samuel Mwangi Opicha aged 25 and 23 yrs respectively, flushing them out of their hideout at Majengo within Vihiga County and arrested them.
In another robbery incident on 16th of June 2020, the gang attacked and stole a mobile phone from Mr. Gideon Habwe, and in the process inflicted serious injuries on him which he succumbed to while undergoing treatment.
Acting on forensic leads, @DCI_Kenya CR&IB working jointly with Emuhaya detectives on 19th August 2020 nabbed two suspects; 33-yr-old John Ngota Etole and 30-yr-old Gilbert Ngota Asitiva at Asikote village in Emuhaya who are in lawful custody.
Recovered from their hideouts included several mobile phones and sim cards, hammers, pangas, pliers, chisels, a hacksaw, an axe among others.
The suspects are undergoing legal procedures before plea taking.
