A budget reduction of $15.5M.
I am sharing here the images of the relevant pages. Starts on page 264 of the agenda.
These are the cuts being recommended by administration in order to balance the #WorcSchools FY21 budget.
As is noted in the opening of the memo, the July 30 funding "includes Chapter 70 increases for inflation and enrollment only": "the new baseline budget does not include any of the funding for the phase-in of the Student Opportunity Act" which is a $15.5M decrease for #WorcSchools
...which means, yeah, far from that July budget update being what was needed, it's going to hit us.
So the ending part of today's #MAEdu Commissioner memo is pretty exasperating, too. SOA plan? There's no SOA funding.
