Talking on publishing biases, people outside will have no idea how its controlled in a state like Tamil Nadu. Dravidian/Communist domination is 100%. My 1st book a biography of one of the greatest living persons on earth failed to get publishers since I’m associated with RSS/BJP.
With God’s grace founded @FootprintsLLP with childhood friends. Published my 1st book at age 25. Wrote total 6 books before my 30 & published few other books of RW Tamil writers. Last 4 years we sold close to 10,000 books. Finance biggest challenge & our ecosystem is a long way!
I still remember spending my first job’s first few months salary totally into @FootprintsLLP as a fresh blood. Just to take back the invested money in form of book sales is a humongous task. Apart from being a writer, I could at least learn nitty gritties of publishing business.
This is the reason I’ve tremendous respect for @arvindneela, @haranprasanna & @MaVeWriter. Their contribution to Tamil RW literature is unparalleled. I don’t think I’m anywhere near them. If God grants me a wish, I would ask to support & fund the above 3 enough for their efforts.
Not to forget @bseshadri in giving space to publish my books in later years. Kizhakku Pathippagam published my #Savarkar book & I will be forever grateful! Shri.@ranganaathan founded @RarePublication is another platform that keeps encouraging RW writers & subjects continuously!
