Lance is annoying at the best of times, but especially on tiktok.
“Just hold the camera still!” He demands. Keith rolls his eyes and does so as Lance runs over and over through a cringeful “are you lost, babygirl?”
On the 23rd try, he seems satisfied with the take.
“It was 4 words Lance,” Keith says with extreme judgement, handing the phone over.
“It’s about the ambiance!” Lance cries, scanning over the video. “You gotta have the right energy.”
“Uh huh.”
Lance glares at him. “You do!”
Keith does a quick miming of Lance’s stance. “You literally just lurk like a creep.”
“Not creepy! Seductive! You have to make it look good on camera— ugh why am I even explaining this to you, you don’t have a performance bone in your body.”
“Like you’d need to for this.”
“Fine!” Lance screeches & turns the camera on Keith. “I’d love to see you do better!”
Keith snorts, thinks to blow him off, but then stops. He loves pulling one over on Lance, especially on dumb stuff like this. Keith walks over to the wall & leans against it looking put upon.
“Easy,” Keith sneers and slouches, undoing a button of his shirt and looking at the camera. He hears the bing of the recording starting and dropping his voice low, looking somewhat haught at the camera delivers—
“Are you lost, baby?”
Lance scoffs. “It’s baby GIRL,” he says, but it’s clear Keith’s won.
Keith unslouches, a smile at the edges of his mouth. “No girls for me, thanks.”
The phone bings again as Lance turns off the video. “Whatever. You suck.”
Keith grins his way to dinner, victorious.

Shiro has a tiktok because of the Holts, and despite himself he finds himself opening the app on downtime. As it turns out there’s a lot of good cat content on there.
He doesn’t expect to open the app and see Keith’s face. Keith who doesn’t have a tiktok, would never be
caught dead—
Except he is. On Lance’s. The volume isn’t on, but he’s slouched, shirt a bit open, and staring at the camera. Shiro nearly stumbles over his own feet.
He turns immediately and heads outside the building, turning the volume up and then unlocking the phone.
“Are you lost baby?” Keith says, voice low and dripping with promise. Shiro quite literally feels the hair on the back of his neck stand up.
But it’s right after that, Lance’s chiding and Keith breaking character that sticks Shiro through the heart.
“No girls for me, thanks.”
Shiros heart this time trips when Keith grins at the camera just before the video ends.
Shiro knows the crush is much more than that these days. Knows as he watches Keith slumped and delivering that cheesy line again and again, that it shouldn’t /get/ him like this.
But it does. It does because maybe he is a little lost on Keith.
On his phone he opens a text to Keith. ‘Saw your tiktok debut,’ he writes.
‘Don’t tell me lance posted that 😡’ Keith writes back.
‘Okay, baby.’ Shiro returns at once. Then—
OH.
