🧵 DEBUNKING🧵
This article has so much disinformation, it's hard to know where to start with it. I'm going to take him at his word that he is a man of faith and so will assume he's not purposely misleading his followers.
1. The article in The Atlantic (link below) is only marginally better than this one, but we can save the debunking of that for another day.
Where is the evidence of POTUS retweets? What about these 'influencers'? Any links?
I'll wait.....
theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…
2. Credit where it's due, not everything is wrong. Here, the date and location of the first post are both correct.
The poster didn't identify themselves, at all.
Threads on message boards don't have titles. They are titled after the fact and are often titled differently.
3. You have linked to the first 2 messages:
archive.4plebs.org/pol/search/uid…
But, not the 3rd? Anyway, poster is clearly not identifying themselves as 'Q Clearance Patriot', begging the question why you claim they did?
4. You claim that Q would later claim to be a 'government official' citing as your source:
heavy.com/news/2018/08/q…
Again, this isn't true. You say the posts 'vague and mostly incoherent'. Have you read them?
Also, Google doesn't ban websites. They don't own the Internet.
5. You then claim the posts moved over to Reddit. This is your source:
nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news…
The posts did not move to Reddit. People who were following the posts on 4Chan started a Reddit board to discuss them.
6. Initial posts by Q appear to be an obvious attempt to mock the beliefs of Trump supporters. This is your source:
m.imgur.com/TB2Gas3
No context? It's impossible to read. Obviously mocking, how? Are they even Q posts?
7. NBC News (as per article in Tweet 5) haven't provided a shred of evidence that Q is 'Coleman Rogers'. Who is this person? What 'circumstantial evidence' do you feel they have? I'd love to take a look at it.
The core of the QAnon theory isn't called the #storm. Another lie.
8. 'As Q Clearance Patriot wrote':
archive.is/zw6Sz#selectio…
Didn't you say that 'Q Clearance Patriot' was the one posting on 4Chan? This is a random blog called 'MagaPill'.
It is getting harder to give you the benefit of the doubt.
9. Such arrests did not occur, you say?
justice.gov/opa/pr/nearly-…
This is just in the last 2 months and there are thousands more. Care to take back your lie?
10. QAnon-supporting Christians believed Covid-19 was a cover to arrest the deep state? Based on this 1:26 minute video:
vimeo.com/396698839
If you say so. The movement then changed? Really? Any evidence for this claim?
11. Is QAnon a cult? There's no charismatic leader, unless you think Q is that leader? There have been many times where there have been no posts for months, so that rules that out.
Coercive persuasion? You mean, like your articles, all entitled 'what you should know about...'?
12. Exploitation of group members by cult leader - sexual, economic, or otherwise? Nope.
Here's the thing, the entire Q movement encourages you to think for yourself, and to do your own research, verify everything, never blindly believe. There is no control.
13. Well, it took you long enough to throw in the current buzzwords. You got there though. QAnon is the same as Neo-Nazi white supremacists, you think?
Marc-André Argentino highlights this religious cult here:
theconversation.com/the-church-of-…
No direct link though. Odd.
14. Not to worry. I've got a link:
homecongregations.org
It appears the problem with this small group of neo-charismatic churches (yeah, no clue) is that people thinking the 'wrong way'. George Orwell wrote a book about that, you know.
15. Okay. This is the source you have provided to prove the FBI has identified QAnon as a domestic terror threat:
news.yahoo.com/fbi-documents-…
A Yahoo article? I was expecting an actual FBI document. Luckily Yahoo link to it instead:
scribd.com/document/42037…
16. Now, either you have not read this document, or you have and you assume your followers won't bother.
The FBI don't identify domestic terrorists. Remember when Trump tweeted about ANTIFA, and everyone was quick to point this out to him?
17. Aside from that, the document is clearly fake. Unless the FBI gets intel on possible domestic terror threats from Wikipedia and Snopes, which are both used as reference sources?
Pretty bold claims at the bottom. Let's see what your sources are:
eu.azcentral.com/story/news/pol…
18. Circumstantial, at best. Do you believe all Catholics believe paedophilia is okay based on the actions of Catholic priests? Next...
inquirer.com/opinion/commen…
Seriously? QAnon-type? Shameful.
19. This one is going to be good. I can feel it....
apnews.com/4ac3679b6f39e8…
Ah, unlucky. I was rooting for you there. This article makes no mention of Q or QAnon, yet you falsely link them together? Strange.
20. This is strange. You say QAnon takes a plausible scenario - such as sex trafficking by the elite - and distorts it until it becomes inconceivable. Yes?
You then go on to talk of Jeffrey Epstein and his elite friends Trump, Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew. Following so far?
21. Obviously, you hone in on something Trump said almost 20 years ago 🙄
You quote from a NYT article, in which the reporter claims Epstein confessed to having info on a lot of powerful people. Still following? Hang on because you might lose it now.
22. You seem angry here. When you say 'verify such claims' what claims are you referring? The NYT article?
What unverified claims are repeated? The last paragraph here is just made-up nonsense. Are you Tom Hanks' lawyer or something? He's in Epstein's flight logs.
23. You can see for yourself. The actual flight logs in PDF format:
coreysdigs.com/wp-content/upl…
Or you can peruse this spreadsheet, made by someone who doesn't care:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…
24. While we're here, you might as well have Jeffrey Epstein's phone book, too. It's in PDF format:
coreysdigs.com/wp-content/upl…
25. Here is collated spreaesheet of all human trafficking arrests, tracked and put together by someone else who doesn't care:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…
26. Finally, you accuse the QAnon movement of frequently engaging in slander* Like you did against POTUS in your tweet when you posted this work of fiction.
I think I speak for every Patriot out there - if anybody believes they have been slandered, I will see them in court.
27. *you referenced your own article here, which is also complete garbage. Don't make me debunk that one, too.
