Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, last week paid a two-day working visit to Benue State. During the visit he met with Governor Samuel Ortom, visited coal mining activities in the State, and met with mining stakeholders. #GovtAtWorkNG

During his visit Dr. Ogah urged the Benue State Government to support the programmes of the Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee (MIREMCO). He also pledged the FG’s determination to ensure that Mining operations are carried out responsibly by Mining Companies.

Dr. Ogah, Minister of State @fmmsdngr on Friday Aug 28, 2020 visited Chief Emmanuel Ojo of Idumoga Kingdom, one of the communities in Benue State where the water supply has suffered pollution from mining activities. He was accompanied by Mrs Amina Audu, Chairperson, Okpokwu LGA.

Minister of State @fmmsdngr, Dr. Uchechukwu S. Ogah continued his National Tour with a visit to Bauchi State, this week. He met with the Governor of Bauchi, Sen. Bala Mohammed, as well as various mining Stakeholders in the State, and also visited mining communities.

The Minister of State @fmmsdngr Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, paid a visit to the District Head of Rishi in Toro LGA of Bauchi State, Alh. Abdullaziz Umar Zaku. He was accompanied by the Bauchi State Commissioner for Natural Resources, Dr Nurudeen Abdulhamid and other officials.
