President Muhammadu Buhari has commended his Chief Personal Security Officer, CPSO and other Security Officers and Personnel on the excellent work put in towards ensuring his safety and that of his family. Speaking yesterday at a short event in the State House, to decorate the CPSO, Aliyu Abubakar Musa, with his new rank of Police Commissioner, President Buhari said he was very impressed by the officer’s “loyalty and for my personal security. Serving me is very difficult.”

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday participated at the 3rd Extra-Ordinary Session of the Heads of State and Government of the Gulf of Guinea Commission in Accra, Ghana. Reiterating Nigeria's commitment and steps towards fighting maritime insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea, President Buhari encouraged member countries to enact laws against piracy and other criminal acts as Nigeria has done.

"I have given approval to the CBN that the old N200 bank notes be released back into circulation and that it should also be allowed to circulate as legal tender with the new N200, N500, and N1000 banknotes for 60 days from Feb. 10, 2023 to April 10 2023."- President @MBuhari "In line with Section 20(3) of the CBN Act 2007, all existing old N1000 and N500 notes remain redeemable at the CBN and designated points.

The National Economic Council (NEC) has endorsed “Nigeria Agenda 2050” designed to take the country through to Upper Middle-Income Country and subsequently to the status of High-Income countries. Yesterday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo received the @AmconNg Debt Recovery Committee report from @icpcnigeria Chairman, Prof. Bolaji Owasonoye, at the State House, Abuja. The Committee has proposed an advisory to the Federal Government that going forward, “all AMCON debtors must not be allowed to transact business or enjoy patronage with any government agency whatsoever, except clearance is obtained from AMCON on the debt status of such obligors.”
