Cabinet approves #MissionKarmayogi, a National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building to lay the foundation for capacity building for civil servants so they remain entrenched in Indian culture while they learn from best practices across the world: Govt of India

#MissionKarmayogi Institutional framework:
-PM's Public Human Resources Council
-Capacity Building Commission
-Special Purpose Vehicle for owning & operating the digital assets & the technological platform for online training
-Coordination Unit headed by the Cabinet Secretary

#MissionKarmayogi features:
-Support transition from 'rules based' to 'roles based' HR management
-To emphasize on 'on-site learning'
-To create an ecosystem of shared training
-To calibrate Civil Service positions to a Framework of Roles, Activities & Competencies (FRACs) method

-Opportunity for all civil servants to build & strengthen their competencies
-To enable direct investment of resources to the learning ecosystem via annual subscription
-To encourage & partner with learning content creators
- To undertake data analytics provided by iGOT-Karmayogi

iGOT-Karmayogi platform brings the scale & state-of-the-art infrastructure to augment the capacities of over two crore officials in India. To cover around 46 lakh Central employees, a sum of Rs.510.86 crore will be spent over a period of 5 years from 2020-21 to 2024-25: GoI
