Been hanging with my friend & brother, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde, in Ibadan for the last 3 days. I just love this beautiful, peaceful ancient city with all its majesty, tradition and history. Each time I come here I feel nothing but joy and nostalgia for the past..1/4
..I lived here years ago from the age of 4 to 6 when my father was Dep. Premier of the old Western Region. As a matter of fact I am staying in Govt. House,in the old Governors lodge on the hill overlooking the city,right next to where we used to live when he was Dep. Premier.2/4

..Brings back so many memories and particularly that of the night of January 15th 1966 when the first coup took place and soldiers came to our house to arrest and abduct my father. What a night of horror that was! I shall never forget it. 3/4
..I have had a great time here over the last few days & some much needed rest. The tour of the state is going well & we will see more projects, sites & industries in Oyo state tomorrow. We will visit Ogbomosho, Oyo & other great ancient towns in this state before rounding up.4/5
