Many Westerners firmly believe that "the Chinese have no votes. So, no votes, no right, no anything". Are votes equal to truth? Can we get truth through votes? I do not think so. What we need is the path to truth, not the path most people choose.
Westerners believe that the truth can be obtained by voting, which stems from their religion. Idealism believes that God is truth, and people can get truth by voting after vowing to God. "The jury is always right."
So is voting equal to democracy? Many Westerners consider the opposite of democracy to be dictatorship. In fact, dictatorship is generated through democracy.
Chinese traditional culture makes us disagree with this logic.
Hitler became the supreme leader through democratic elections, and the decision to deprive Jews of property was made through votes. Why? Because Christianity considers Jews to be evil.
Chinese and Westerners have different religions and cultures. We do not agree with the so-called "universal values" in the West, that is, we do not agree with Christian values.
The real goal of democracy is to give ordinary people a rising channel, the opportunity to manage country. China's political system provides sufficient guarantees for this goal.
