Well, it's now confirmed that SQ42 has been moved into 2021.
Funny story. I knew this back in May 2017 when my sources told me that Chris and co were blatantly lying about the game coming out in 208.

They did it again in Dec 2018 when they got the $46M investor bailout, then swore up and down that the Alpha was coming in Q1/20. Then again in Q2/20. We're now in Q3/20, and the latest newsletter all but confirms recent sources that it was never - ever - coming out in 2020.
In fact, I just mentioned this again barely days ago in this long thread.
The latest newsletter is an absolute doozy of epic proportions.

They’re just now “beginning to look into” DX 11.1, Vulcan is haywire, they’ve been “researching” volumetric clouds etc. Oh, and they finally got around to adding the ability for the crash debugger to dump the player profile to find out why it’s locked, crashed or something.
Speaking of Vulcan, remember back in Mar 2017 when they claimed they wouldn't be supporting DX12, but instead would go with Vulcan?

Here's the thing. This was barely a year after that whole engine "switch" which we now know never actually happened. And it was just this past June that another dev copped to it. Barely months after it was confirmed in the end days of the Crytek lawsuit.

So it's now confirmed that you can just stop expecting SQ42 in 2020. It's amazing how the original Nov 2014 release date seemed like yesterday.
Oh well.
ps. All threads on the official forums asking for the whereabouts of one missing Chris Roberts, are still being locked - and deleted.
