These are the issues @costiwhinn and co have with @stevenfurtick and @Hillsong . It is a theological issue and I think that it is wisdom not to carelessly call another minister or ministry heretic because of your disagreement with what they teach . I will highlight them .
1. In the evangelical movement that @costiwhinn belongs to they teach that poverty and Prosperity can be Gods will . This means that God could actually send pack and poverty your way to “teach “ you something .
2 . They teach that sickness and disease can come from God . So for instance if a man has cancer that cancer could be Gods will for him . According to them God doesn’t always want you healthy at times he wants you sick .
3. They teach that christ was God in nature and power on earth . That all the miracles Jesus did on the earth he did as God not a man . Their christology is deeply flawed . It is rooted in the fact that they don’t really see miracles so explain it as they are not God .
The differences are doctrinal and deeply so . My issue is with this attitude some evangelicals have in maintaining an us vs them position because they don’t agree with a position. The flaws in their positions are at times gaping and theologically ridiculous !
