Understanding the New birth .

Many times we have heard this exhortation “ Be born again !” Or you even hear people say things like “ let’s get you born again “ .

The idea these phrases communicate is that there is a formulae to the new birth and a sinner can just be born again by his own will .

What does the Bible actually say ?

John 3:3-5
3   Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4   Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old?

Channels of my Spirit

I will be honest .

I had objections to the term “channels of my spirit “ was used by Dunsin Oyekan when he first released this song .

I also spoke to my choir head not to sing it in our churches at the time I had noticed a recent influence of certain middle eastern terms with certain gospel musicians .
I mean terms like “portals” ,“ascend”, “vibrations “,“energy” etc .
However ,I had to take a closer look at the lyrics of this particular song and give the writer the benefit of doubt

How to deal with Porn addiction .

Let me start by saying that porn addiction is not a morality issue . It is a neurological issue . I didn’t say porn isn’t a moral issue , I said “porn addiction “ isn’t a moral issue .

A lot of shame and guilt surrounds this addiction especially in the Christian community that most people suffer in silence .

Studies have shown in surveys of even clergy , that a high percentage of ministers are porn addicts . Now imagine what the percentage must be for the regular church guy .

1. In the evangelical movement that @costiwhinn belongs to they teach that poverty and Prosperity can be Gods will . This means that God could actually send pack and poverty your way to “teach “ you something .

Tongues and interpretation are easy to walk in . Very very easy . It enriches your fellowship with God and your usefulness amongst believers .
