I don’t know my husband continues to agree to let me take him on crazy adventures in a 2-wheel drive sedan where we have no business being when he can just say no. Today was one of those days where I thought I might kill us. BUT DID YOU DIE!! 😎

Husband: where are we going?
Me: I don’t know
Husband: Sounds good!
Clearly he hasn’t learned yesterday’s valuable lesson. 💁🏻♀️
The goal today was to stay on paved roads. I failed.
Our obsession with Route 66 continues. And I wore Amy’s favorite hat to go with my two-toned legs.
Found a lake-ish in the middle of nowhere. Natural springs over the San Andreas fault fill this water hole.
One day we’re going to drive Route 66 all the way to Chicago. Today was not that day.
Yes. My feet are that giant.
Then we found this place in the desert called Jack-O-Landia. The story goes that no one knows if the place has ever been open to the public or not.
Yesterday we almost got stuck on a dirt road in 120°. Today I sent this to my mom. She’s not speaking to me now. 😂
And this was on the door of a restaurant. LOL
Had to pull over to catch the sun set over some Joshua Trees.
And on the way home we had to drive past the #ElDoradoFire. Oak Glen is one of my favorite places. Two fires in a couple of weeks? I have the sads.
