The cousin of #DijonKizee struggles to get out her thanks to the crowd for their support.
“I am angry. We are angry. The family is angry.”
#DijonKizzee’s friends and family want to show who he was as a person. This friend says he supported her through her journey to get a degree in criminal justice.
She ends her comments with: “Don’t let them get their hands on you.”

A few deputies have set down their weapons and seem to be wilting in the 93 degree heat as protesters shout insults

BLM leader Future explains the commotion. She says a protester had touched the barricade prompting deputies to fire warning shots, which caused people to run toward the station.
“When we move it will be on our terms, in our way.”
Protesters regroup and begin march down Imperial Highway in name of #DijonKizzee
Before the march started, I talked to Donnell Russell, Kizzee’s cousin by marriage. He wants the deputies who killed him prosecuted but also talked about the futility of the situation.
“Naming those 2 doesn’t really make a difference, they’re hiring 2 more.”
Shaneika Hall, cousin to #DijonKizzee, saves her greatest concern for Kizzee’s 18 yo brother Sean.
“He’s quiet. He has no words. He has no tears yet.”
