However well intentioned if tax money spent on ad does not reach people and instead evoke aversion is double loss for country.
One such example is this banner on this post office van just steps away from my residence in Chennai, where hardly 5% understand what it means.
Does it make sense ?? Advertisement bill board should reach people but central Govt is pouring butter on rocks than rice. Why not add one line in Tamil ? In Constitution Tamil and Hindi have same status.
So why avoid Tamil in Tamilnadu or Marathi in Maharastra or Kannada in Karnataka?
What a collosal waste of advertisement and tax money when billboards lack a simple line in Tamil declaring " magalai kappatru, kalvi kodu".
Its another matter that such campaign is unnecessary in Tamilnadu as female infanticide is negligible now and recruitment of girl child /women in schools and higher education
