VP, SGF, COS have arrived for the 2020 #CabinetRetreatNG.
The first one held when the Ministers assumed office in Aug 2019. Each Minister was assigned a list of priority projects and programs in line with 9 defined “priority areas.”
This Retreat will review progress since then.
Here’s how it’s worked over the last year: When each Minister took office a year ago, they were handed Ministerial Mandates that had to be Signed by the Minister and Perm Sec.
Each Min was then expected to cascade the Mandate to CEOs of parastatals under them. #CabinetRetreatNG

According to the SGF, Boss Mustapha, in his opening remarks, between December 18, 2019 and July 22, 2020, all 28 Ministries and the OHCSF presented progress reports to FEC, on the work to implement their Mandates. #CabinetRetreatNG
SGF: As at Sept 2, 2020, 282 Memo, Briefs and Notes had been presented at FEC, since the second-term @MBuhari cabinet was inaugurated.
191 of these were approved — 50 policy Memos/Briefs, 128 projects, 13 council notes.
