#Lebanon: Coffee creamers are now cheaper than Pads and tampons. That's what happens when the government decides to subsidize coffee creamer but not essential women's hygiene goods.

Just a question in mind: how will refugee communities afford this?

I think i'll ask my period for sometime off in this final 2020 quarter. LOL.

We will soon need a 'Go fund me' campaign for PADS.

Seriously people arguing on why I posted a question about Women refugees not Lebanese women, my tweet is automatically about Lebanese women by reference, it would be degrading to say "Lebanese women and women refugees" and I wanted to say Refugees bcz they deserve a spot too.

Please try not to hide behind your racism to polish it when arguing about this. Many Lebanese got bothered by the fact that my tweet somehow puts women refugees first. The majority of those Lebanese never set foot in a Refugee camp, so spare me the lectures please.

To all men reminding us that the Lebanese Gov did subsidize other local pads brands: No Uterus No opinion.

I have been trying to compare prices of these brands (mentioned in the original tweet) to see if maybe a store is manipulating the prices since they are not locally produced brands. I got the same prices online for the ones I managed to find.

Some prices of main local brands, manufactured in #Lebanon, their prices are good compared to the imported ones. According to the ministry it did not subsidize pads bcz "there are Lebanese companies that manufacture pads & their prices are cheap".But don't women deserve choices?!
